I had heard of Sephora before, never been in one, but just never bothered with checking it out. Well, I took the plunge and now I am officially addicted. It started with just a visit to http://www.sephora.com/ and now has turned into 3 orders in less than a week. I received my first order yesterday-a small box which held this:
It was a Cyber Monday deal for $5! I also got my 3 free samples. I picked the Anastasia brow powder and 2 different primers.
The next order was actually one by my husband. My birthday is coming up and I really, really, really wanted a Clarisonic! I'm starting to notice fine lines & wrinkles and I'm not liking it one bit. My plan is to fight aging every step of the way and this is one of the tools that will hopefully help me! I chose the one that came with a Kinerase face cream. Thank you Honey-I Love You! (I may have guilted him into it by asking him if he wants to wake up to a wrinkly face every morning-hey, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!)
It's supposed to be delivered TODAY and I need to somehow hold myself off until December 17. It's going to be pure torture! Maybe I can at least open the box to look at it? I also got a free clutch filled with samples...
And I got to pick my 3 free samples of course! I ended up ordering the same ones as the first order. Then, I got to pick a free "deluxe sample" because I had joined the "beauty insider" club. I chose the Make Up For Ever HD Elixir. Hopefully this will hide those fine lines!
Now,onto this morning: I had added 2 things to my cart that I had wanted, but was waiting for some kind of "deal" first. The shu uemera eyelash curler is apparently the BEST and is used by professional make-up artists. Since my eyelash curler has definitely seen better days (and I had a not so pleasant experience last year with it that ended with me with no upper lashes!), I figured this would be the one to try. My brows are in need of some help also, so when I saw this kit I knew I had to try it!

Imagine my excitement when I opened my e-mail this morning to 2 different Sephora e-mails...one for a free $15 giftcard with a $35 purchase and the other for a complimentary birthday gift...
I knew it was the right time! And free shipping to boot! I also got another 100 point deluxe sample with this order, so chose:

All of this for only $39! And this was thanks to my incentives money for the wellness program! YAY! I guess you can say I'm a beauty junkie :)
I went to my 2 classes at the gym and got my butt seriously kicked today! I had a really nice compliment this morning. There is an RN who has been working in my office-she had injured herself so is on light-duty. She asked me this morning "you can't have much more to lose". I said "well, 35 pounds". She looked at me and said "no way-you can't weigh anymore than 135-140". I laughed and said "actually, I'm a slim trim hee hee 160 pounds". She and 2 other women said "you definitely don't look like you weigh that much". That made me feel GREAT!
