Update!

I went to the orthopedic doctor yesterday. I do have a stress fracture in my fibula, but do NOT need to be casted...YAY! The x-rays showed the curve of where new bone is growing-apparently not a good thing. So, no high-impact activities for the next 3 weeks but I can do anything else as long as there is no pain. So...this morning I used the stationary bike for 30 minutes. I spoke to my trainer and he recommended doing the hill profile on level 6-8 for 45 minutes. I will be trying that in the morning.

The orthopedic doctor told me that I am exercising alot and need to take some rest days. He recommended I get 1500 mg of calcium a day since I don't drink milk. He also wants me to supplement protein because I don't eat much meat besides the occasional chicken and seafood. I do protein shakes twice a week now so I may add in some green monster smoothies. I go back for a follow-up on Jan. 4.

Today is WW day...you know how it is. I'm actually not really bothered by it today other than -as usual-I think I gained. I made a couple of Christmas goodies (pretzels with a melted Hershey's kiss on top and Buffalo Chex Mix) and I may have had a bit too much. I tried to stop at one pretzel twist-then 2-and then I ended up at about 10...ha ha! I also had some Chex mix-maybe about a cup or so. So, we'll see. I did get on the scale here at work and it showed me at 160 and that was with shoes on so maybe I actually lost a bit. I will be really surprised if that's the case. We'll find out soon enough I guess :)
