I can Shop ANYWHERE!

Ok, so anyone who knows me knows my most favorite hobby of all time: SHOPPING! I can shop anywhere. And I mean ANYWHERE! Take, for example, a recent trip to the transfer station (yeah, I'm classy like that-you call it a "dump", I call it a "transfer station"). We pull into the "construction zone" to throw a carpet we ripped from the basement (by "we" I mean Anand). As Anand is backing in, I see a cute little antique-looking dresser. Now, I'm not one for antiques, but this one was just so cute. I could picture it in the girls' room painted in a Tiffany blue with new hardware. SO ADORABLE! We checked it out, no damage-just needs a little TLC. So, this is the point where I'm thinking to myself "how am I going to convince hubby that I want to take home a dresser from the dump transfer station?". So, I casually said "I'm going to refinish this for the girls' room". Anand's reply? "Ok, let's load it in". SCORE!

So, this past weekend, I loaded up the girls and headed to Home Depot to pick the perfect paint. I chose "True Turquoise" by Glidden...

I went home, hauled the dresser out all by myself (must be all that strength training, right Aaron?!) and went to town! After drying, we hauled it up to the girls' room (I needed help with that!), I lined the drawers, and promptly discovered that I forgot to paint between the drawers. OOPS. I just need to touch that up a bit. Hey-I never said I was a professional /nobigdeal
I also discovered that I need to change the hardware.
