We have central vac. Everyone raves about central vac-I don't really see what is so great about it. I mean, I still have to haul the hose out and put it away after, so what is the point?! Anyway, I wanted to get a small, rechargeable vacuum that would allow me to clean up small messes without hauling the big hose out every time. 

My dreams have come true with this little beauty:

It's the Shark VX3 Cordless Floor and Carpet Sweeper. Works like a charm! I was going to order it on Amazon, but found it for the same price at Bed Bath & Beyond and I had a 20% off coupon! Deal! I also picked up a couple of things that Averie raves about:

To make some of those delicious looking baked donut recipes that she has on her blog. I made THESE ONES (minus the icing) and they were pretty fabulous! I like that it only made 5 and they are a perfect "treat" portion, so totally cure any sweet craving. 

And a push button cookie scoop that she swears is the best thing ever!
