Health wise, I'm doing pretty good-enjoying the summer with no medication. I have had some issues with my eye and have been in contact with the doctor, but I'm trying to hold off on any new medication as long as possible.
Anand had a week of vacation the first week of the month, so we got to spend the week together, which was fun! The week started out rainy & cold, but we made the most of it. We ended up unexpectedly buying a new dining set and server, which we weren't planning on. When I saw it, I just knew it would work so well in our newly remodeled kitchen, so I couldn't resist! We got a great deal and were able to sell our existing set, so it worked out well! I need to do a few things in the kitchen (hang a curtain over the sink & trim around the window sill) and will take pictures after. We are really happy with how the kitchen turned out and love spending time in there! With us being away a lot, I can't wait to be able to spend a lot more time there in the fall! Here is a picture of the dining set & server:

Anyway, back to our month in review! We had a day at our favorite beach, Reid State Park. It was cloudy all day, but warm and we had fun!

We went to the Breakwater in Camden and walked to the lighthouse:

It was hot & humid, so the girls weren't real thrilled!
We found a great little Asian restaurant in Camden. Long Grain was featured in Bon Apetit magazine, and we found tons of great reviews on Yelp, so thought we'd try it. There was no sign outside, so it was really tricky to find. I ended up calling them and we were right across from it (and had walked right by). The food was amazing-so fresh & delicious. The service left a lot to be desired-the servers were very pretentious and just not friendly or attentive. Like I said, the food was amazing though, so we will definitely go back.

After dinner, we drove over to Mt. Battie, which is a favorite place of ours.

The girls love going to the "castle".

We went home that night, and decided to go to Acadia the next day.

Anand actually took a ton of great photos at Acadia, but they are on his laptop-I'll (hopefully) post some of them later :)
After our day at Acadia, we stayed at a hotel. It was really hot at Acadia and we did a ton of walking through Acadia, so we all slept really well! The next morning, we headed to visit friends in Blue Hill. We had never been there before, so when John & Sheila invited us to stay over we couldn't wait! We had a great time! We spent two days there. We went to two different beaches, which were both gorgeous!
The girls learned how to play Croquet!

They played with flowers with Sheila:

And Suri caught her first Lightening Bug!

We had a lot of fun!
So, there is part of our July! I will do a "Part 2" post in the next few days, but for now I'm off to the pool with the girls!
