Shopping Day!

Today was one of our shutdown days. It was a hectic week, so I decided to take a "ME" day! I was planning on going to the gym, but when I woke up (and still now), my legs are sooo sore from yesterday's workout that I decided to take a rest day. Anand took the girls to daycare, then he went to work. I drank some coffee, had my usual breakfast (yogurt, blueberries, Kashi, All Bran, Flax Seed) then got ready to go out. First up: I picked up my favorite food EVER-sushi-and took it to Anand's office to have lunch with him. He had salmon & tuna and I had eel & shrimp. We shared some calamari salad. It was such a great lunch! Yum!

Then, I went to pick up my contacts I had ordered from my eye doctor. Next was Old Navy. They were having an active wear sale, so I wanted to check it out. I ended up getting a pair of yoga pants (I can't find a picture on their website but they are black with coral, pink & orchid around the top). I also got this matching tank:

and this gray jacket:

They also had socks on sale so I picked up 2 packs of those. Their clearance items were "take an additional 50% off", so I picked up a gray fleece jacket for $5.00, two fleece scarves for 49 cents each, and some pink fleece pants for Maya & Suri for $1.49.

Then I wandered down to GNC. I have ordered online, but hadn't been in the store. I looked around and just ended up getting one of these for a snack:

And a couple of Turbo Teas to try (Becky's recommendation):

Next up: Target of course!

I found winter boots for Maya & Suri for next winter and also found their Christmas dresses for next year! It's nice to be prepared!

While looking for my Olay creamy cleanser to use with my beloved Clarisonic, I saw this Alicia Silverstone Eco-Chic make-up brush kit/case for only $3.25 so figured I'd give them a try. Alicia is my husband's girlfriend-he likes her a lot (right, honey?!).

Last stop before home: TJ Maxx. I don't go very often, but figured I'd check it out on my day of leisure! And, MAN-I am ever glad I did! I have been wanting to try NARS blush for a while now, but didn't really want to pay $30 for it. Imagine my surprise when I found a NARS box on clearance for $15.00 with both a blush AND a lipgloss!! Blush color is Deep Throat and lip color is Striptease. I picked that baby up and didn't let go! I just went on Sephora's website to check the prices and the blush normally sells for $28 and the lip gloss is $24 so I definitely got a great deal!
While I was waiting in the check-out line, I looked down and saw a Burt's Bees Shimmer Clutch-a clutch with 3 of their shimmer glosses-all for $3.99! The lip shimmers sell for $4.99 each! I grabbed that little guy as well! I hadn't tried them, but have heard great things about them and Burt's Bees products in general!

I picked up chinese take-out for dinner (steamed chicken & veggies for me-ok, maybe I had some fried rice as well!). Anand picked up the girls and we had dinner. Once they were in bed, I made some popcorn topped with some nutritional yeast & dill (best thing ever-tastes just like Little Lad's that you buy in the health food store) and we watched this movie:

It was a good movie-creepy but good!

It was a great day!
