40 Beauty Questions!

I saw this on a blog that I follow and thought it looked like fun. Here we go!

Skin:


How many times do you wash your face daily? Twice: morning & night. At night, I use my beloved clarisonic

What skin type do you have? I would say my skin type is normal-maybe slightly sensitive

What is your current facial wash? I'm currently using this Olay cleanser. I love Olay products. I also really like this Clarisonic cleanser.

Do you exfoliate? Yes (probably not as much as I should though)

What brand do you use? I like to try different products. Most recently, I used this Philosophy peel. LOVED it.

What brand moisturizer do you use? I use this Olay at night with this Olay serum underneath. In the morning, I use just the micro-sculpting cream. In the summer when I want something lighter, I use this Olay moisturizer with sunscreen. I was using this Kinerase serum (at night) that came with my Clarisonic, but let's be honest here: I'm not going to pay $98 for a serum when I can go out and buy a great pair of shoes instead!

Do you have freckles? No

Do you use eye cream? Yes-I use this Olay eye serum at night. I also have this because I thought the rollerballs were a great idea! So, I use then when I need a little "pick-me-up"!

Do you or did you have acne prone skin? No-I feel very fortunate for that! I only occasionally get a slight "monthly" breakout.

Did you ever have to use Pro activ? No


Makeup:

What foundation do you use? I am currently using Revlon Photo Ready and I love it!

How about concealer? I don't use concealer unless I have a breakout (rare), but I own a Loreal True Match one.

Do you know your undertone color? Pink

What do you think of fake eyelashes? I love the look of them for a night out, but have a super hard time putting them on. I wear contacts, so I think it's something to do with that-I'm afraid of getting the glue on them!

Did you know that you should change your mascara every 3 months? Yes, I know that but do I do it? Not so much. Bad Girl.

What brand of mascara do you use? Covergirl LashBlast right now.

Sephora or MAC? Sephora. I've never *GASP* used MAC!

Do you have a MAC pro card? That would be a no.

What makeup tools do you use in makeup application? My fingers for foundation and brushes for everything else. I just ordered a foundation brush though to give it a try.

Do you use a makeup base/primer for the eyes? Yes-I have a couple of different face primers and like them. I need to get an eyelid primer-I want to try Urban Decay.

For the face? Yes. Oops-I guess I was a bit ambitious in my answer above! Always a step ahead...

What is your favorite eyeshadow? Eyeshadows will be my next make-up purchase. I want to try the Urban Decay ones. They are sparkly & pretty! I have a bunch of drugstore ones that I use now. I play it safe with neutrals, but want to try some different looks with more color.

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner? Pencil
How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil? Hmmm...I haven't done that, but you can ask my husband about the time I ripped off all of my eyelashes with my eyelash curler! That was a great time. I have since upgraded to a Shu Uemura eyelash curler and so far, so good!

What do you think of pigment eyeshadows? I don't know yet, but plan to try them!

Do you use mineral makeup? Not a fan. Yuck. I don't like it. At least what I tried.

What is your favorite lipstick? I don't really wear lipstick-I tend to stick to either gloss or good old lip balm.

What is your favorite lipgloss? Currently it's NARS striptease. I also have a couple of Sephora ones that I like.

What is your favorite blush? Currently it's NARS Deep Throat. LOVE it.

Do you buy makeup on Ebay? Never have

Do you like drugstore makeup? Yes-I am always looking for something new to try.

Do you go to CCOs? What is a CCO? I just googled-apparently it's cosmetic company outlet.

Did you ever consider makeup classes? Well, actually, I am a "beauty school dropout". Seriously.

Are you clumsy when applying makeup? Not really (never really thought about that one!)

Name a makeup crime you hate? Full-on eye make-up & full-on lips...can we just pick one?!

Do you like colorful shades of makeup? Yes!

Which celebrity always has great makeup? Hmmm...Reese Witherspoon-cute as a button. Kim Kardashian, Kate Hudson, all of the Victoria's Secret models, ...

If you could leave the house using just one makeup item what would you use? lip gloss

Do you think you could look good even without any makeup on? I certainly do it alot, not sure I look "good" without it but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do! I'd rather go barefaced at the gym than end up all broken out.

In your opinion what is the best makeup line? Right now I would say NARS.
