Me? President?!

I belong to a professional organization-Maine Health Information Management Association (MeHIMA). I have been a member since 1998. I have served on several committees (Public Relations & Recruitment, Technology, Finance, Nominating, Legislative) and was elected as Secretary for 2 terms. Well, I found out recently that I was nominated for PRESIDENT-ELECT! It's a huge honor-and a lot of responsibility. I debated on running or not and have spoken to a lot of colleagues and friends regarding it. Anand & I discussed it as well since it will involve traveling and, of course, responsibilities. He said I should go for it! I just faxed in my candidate biography. Wish me luck!
