Chicago Day Four!

Our last full day in Chicago...boo! I had thought I had just a half day of meetings, but discovered there was a Coding Roundtable in the afternoon which meant a full day. I had an hour for lunch, so Anand did the legwork on figuring out where we should go. He chose Chicago Curry House which was awesome! Then, back to "work" I went. After I finished my day of meetings, we decided to take a walk down by the river where there was a French restaurant Anand had been to. We sat at a table on the riverbank, had a glass of wine (Anand had a beer), appetizers, and watched the scenery.
Escargot for me, fries for Anand:

Then, we decided to go to Howl at the Moon. Howl at the Moon is a dueling piano bar-very interactive and TONS of fun! We had the BEST time! SO MUCH FUN! Seriously, I want to open one here (of course, I don't know how to play piano, guitar, or drums but I play a mean Guitar Hero and can karaoke with the best of them! Ha ha.

So, we were the first people in the bar! It was a Sunday night at 7:00. The show started at 8:00, so we ordered drinks. The thing is-this place serves "bombs", "bones", "buckets" and "buckets of beer"! Anand had a "Purple Rain" at my suggestion:

Here is a blurry picture of him drinking it (not sure why it's so blurry?!)
I had a "Pink Paradisel", which was a BONE (meaning it was big-see below!). OH NOES. Anand promised he'd help me (which I found out I didn't really need...haha). Here it is:

YUM!
I asked our waiter if he would take a picture of us at the pianos. Here we are before "our" show!

HELLO husband: you should be facing the piano to play?! I totally look like I can play.

The show started at 8:00 and it was A BLAST! We got little song request forms to fill out and you know what song I wrote-like the BEST song EVER...my all-time favorite song. Anybody?
"Baby Got Back" by Sir Mixalot...YEAH BABY!
Here are a few pictures of the band:

This guy (you can't see him well) was T.R.A.S.H.E.D when he came in and requested "Mother" by Danzig! And guess what? They played it! Seriously, they could play anything & everything!

They played until 3 AM. We left at midnight because we had to catch a flight in the morning. We found out there is one in Boston-I want to go back!

So, that was our final day in Chicago. We get to go back next year after I'm sworn in as President of MeHIMA and I can't wait!
