FINALLY...My eye is better!

So, after countless trips to several doctors, and being extremely frustrated & encouraged, I was on a mission yesterday to get my eye fixed! First step was calling the eye doctor (yet again). I went to the appointment hoping for answers. I got them! After explaining my symptoms (constant eye watering, redness as the day went on) and all of the remedies I've tried (Claritin, Flonase, warm packs, hot packs, saline rinse, etc.), and with a full exam, I was diagnosed with a blocked lacrimal duct. Both top and bottom were blocked, but apparently the bottom was the worst. YES! Finally I had some answers. She told me she was pretty sure she would be able to open it up, but if not then I would have to go to another specialist. After putting some anesthetic in my eye, she dilated, probed & irrigated both the top & bottom puncta. It hurt a bit, but she would reapply anesthetic to make it a bit more comfortable. And honestly, at that point, the thought of finally getting relief was so great I could have handled about anything! The outcome? No more watering eye! I would say it is 95% better at this point! I go back on Monday for a recheck and that will hopefully be the end of it. After dealing with this all winter, I am SO excited! :)
