Gluten Free Breakfast Bars

This recipe was given to me in a ME First packet-not sure of the source. I changed it up a bit to make it gluten-free. They taste great, but did not hold up as "bars", so I rolled them into balls. Yum!

Gluten Free Breakfast Bars

2 1/4 Cups gluten free Oats
1/2 Cup Almond Meal
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
5 Tbsp. Natural Applesauce
1/4 Cup Honey
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Additions(I used sunflower seeds & dark chocolate chips)
1/8 Cup Flax Meal

Ingredients:
Combine all ingredients. Mix well. Press mixture firmly into a greased 8x8 baking dish. Bake 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 10 minutes, then cut into bars (or roll into balls when cool).

This recipe made 12 balls.
