Marvelous in My Monday! Weekend Update!

Hard to believe it's already MARVELOUS MONDAY! Katie over at Healthy Diva Eats starts the week off on a positive note and I love it! I'm going to recap my MARVELOUS weekend. That will definitely put a smile on my face and start this week off right!

Friday after work, I took the girls to my parents' house for a "Weekend with the Grandparents" (thanks Mom & Dad!)! I headed to meet up with my husband in Rhode Island immediately after to celebrate our anniversary! We started out with sushi & an asian pear saketini at Ichiban-delicious as always!

Saturday morning, we got ready and went to our favorite brunch spot, Nick's on Broadway.

They serve local, fresh ingredients and it is always fabulous! I swear I saw a celebrity there too, but I couldn't pinpoint who he was (my guess was a band member). I wish I had taken a picture, but didn't want to look like a total stalker. I had an omelet with carmelized onions, mushrooms, broccoli & boursin. Yum! Oh, and a latte :)
After brunch, we went to Garden City and checked out some shops. It was nice to be able to stroll around without the girls running around :) While there, Anand decided to get his hair cut:

After his haircut, we headed back to the hotel and rested up for the big night ahead! I had a new outfit to wear and was going to test out my new Urban Decay Smoked Palette. Here is a close-up of the "Red Carpet Smoky Eye" look:

Here is my outfit (I wish I had taken a pic without the jacket-maybe for my next OUTFITS POST!):

Once ready, we got into the car and headed to Providence for the Journey/Pat Benatar/Loverboy concert! We stopped at Kabob & Curry for some Tandoori chicken on the way :) They have lots of gluten-free options, including naan, which is pretty rare. The food & service were fantastic!
Once parked, we headed to the Dunkin Donuts Center for the show. I am a total celeb-stalker. I love nothing more than reading trashy celeb mags and get totally star-struck. Well, I saw the tour buses and got really excited, so Anand had to take my picture:

Here we are inside:

The concert was fantastic! Pat Benatar and her husband, Neal Giraldo ROCKED the house. They were incredible! Journey was really good, but it seemed like there were some sound issues. It didn't really phase me since I was singing at the top of my lungs. :)  We had a really great time. At the end, we were walking out and all of a sudden, Anand grabbed my arm and pointed. I looked to my right and OH.MY.GOD....Arnel Pineda was standing directly to my right. I screamed SO LOUD and literally jumped at him. Unfortunately (for me, anyway!), he had a bodyguard with him and was running by, so I totally missed him but I tried :) I wish I had a picture of my face when I saw him. Anand was laughing-it was pretty funny. It was a great night.

Yesterday, we got up and hit up Trader Joe's to do the weekly grocery haul. Then, it was time for me to hit the road home to do laundry and prep for the week. Mom & Dad brought the girls home after dinner. It was nice to see my little ladies :)

It was a MARVELOUS weekend for sure! I'm totally ready for the next :)
