Marvelous in My Monday!

Happy Marvelous Monday! Thanks to Katie over at HEALTHY DIVA EATS, we're going to start this week on a POSITIVE & Happy Note!

What makes my Monday marvelous, you may ask? Well, seven years ago today, I married my soul mate...it's my WEDDING ANNIVERSARY! So, today is going to be a wedding/reception picture recap! We had a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony at our home that started at 9:00 in the morning on a beautiful Autumn day. The ceremony was 4.5 hours long (plus we had ceremonies for 3 days leading up to our wedding day!). After the wedding ceremony, we had Indian food catered in. Then, I went and got my hair & make-up done and we had an American reception with food & dancing in the evening. It was a fantastic day!

Here is the MEHNDI that my friend, Gowri, spent HOURS doing by hand. She literally painted my hands & feet from 7 pm until 2 am a few nights before our wedding. Gowri has talent, huh?!

There are a few pictures from our wedding day. I can't believe it was seven years ago. In some ways, it feels like a lifetime ago and in some ways it feels like yesterday. I feel so blessed to have found such a loving & compassionate partner in life. I'm a lucky girl!
