Whole30-Day 3

Another day on the books-another day of feeling great!

After leaving work a year ago, I have not gotten much use of my 200 or so pair of shoes. As a stay-at-home Mom, I tend to wear the same things over & over. Add to that the weight gain and just not feeling great about myself-I haven't been making it a point to take the time to pull cute outfits together. One of my favorite things to do before was to create outfits based on my shoe collection. I loved nothing more than pulling a cute outfit together, complete with accessories. It makes me happy! So, after starting the Whole30 challenge and already feeling a difference, I have had the urge to start creating cute outfits again! And for me, the outfit starts with the shoe! Shoes are my thing! So, who cares if I am only going to the grocery store or picking the kids up at school-I am going to wear my heels! My husband even commented "it's so nice to see you dressed up" and I got several compliments on my booties. Makes this girl feel good!

Food went well again.
Breakfast: black coffee, 2 eggs, 1/2 avocado, slice of turkey, 1/2 green pepper (sliced)

Lunch: turkey meatballs with mushrooms on a bed of kale

Dinner: grilled shrimp, shredded carrots, shallots, chopped peppers, dash of sesame oil & rice wine vinegar (fantastic salad hubby made for me)

Snack: raw cashews & grapes

I'm not feeling hungry or having any cravings, which is a very unusual feeling for me. I keep thinking that I will start to feel detox symptoms, but so far so good. I feel great and have energy and just feel happy-like myself. I still have that pesky voice in the back of my head telling me it's only the beginning-enjoy it while it lasts, etc. For now, I am just pushing it away. Seems to be working so far!
