Royal Wedding!
Today is the Royal Wedding. I am SO excited it's ridiculous! To celebrate, I bought this to wear for the big day:

Hee Hee!
I picked up some scones on my way to work. Had it not been the most ridiculously insane week (more on that later), I had planned on making scones & clotted cream. I also would have made a fascinator to wear. I am LOVING Princess Beatrice's fashion choices. The girl has STYLE! Check out this AWESOME fascinator she wore to another wedding:

PERFECT! So cute!
Now I cannot wait until tonight to watch the highlights from the wedding.

BEAUTIFUL!

My First Trip to ORIGINS!
One of my new obsessions is watching Tiffany's YouTube videos. She gives some great beauty-related advice and techniques. When I saw her video about this product, I knew I had to try it. So when the girls & I hit the mall, I ran to the Origins store!

I've been using it for a week now and I love it! At first, I wasn't sure because I didn't really notice anything. But, in the past few days, I feel that it's given me somewhat of a "glow". It has these little bead thingys (technical term, folks!) that give off some sort of a tint. LOVE it.
This morning I saw a blog post about this Origins product:

Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Serum
Apparently it diminishes fine lines! Looks like I'll be going back to the mall soon :)

Day 2 of Mini Vacay!
We woke up on Saturday morning in the hotel and went down for breakfast, which was right down the hall. Convenient! After breakfast, the girls & I did a little shopping and waited for my mother & my niece, Jaida to arrive!
We tried on hats!

Maya had cream cheese all over her shirt.

She loved this duck hat and actually fell asleep wearing it!

Mom & Jaida arrived and we went to lunch. Then, we did some shopping. I almost bought this!

I liked this one too!

Jaida liked this one!

Interesting question....life isn't fair!
Rode the merry go round again....

And Jaida got some new, um "sunglasses?". not sure what to call them, but she loves them!
Peace out, girlfriend!

The girls went on some rides...

And Maya wanted to be cool like her cousin!

Mini Vacation!
Anand had a big work project over the Patriot Day holiday weekend, so he asked if the girls & I would like to stay at the hotel with him. We tagged along for some Mommy & Daughter bonding time! I took Friday off, Monday was a holiday and Tuesday was our next to last furlough day, so we had 5 days together.
We left for Portland Friday morning and headed straight to the mall of course! The girls picked out some new hair accessories at Claires and then we went to see the Easter Bunny!
They loved him!
More mall fun...
Riding on the Merry Go Round:

After walking the mall, we decided to go check into the hotel. This was the girls' first hotel stay, so they were super excited!
Suri was especially excited about being able to watch TV from bed!

Maya decided to give herself a pedicure...NICE! I plan on using this picture in her teenage years :)

That evening, we had to make a Target run since I didn't realize the hotel had a pool! We needed suits!
Suri got her tutu suit she had been wanting!

Maya went with a tutu suit as well!

While we were out, we decided to get dinner and eat in our room. Suri's response? "can we eat in bed?". She was so excited when I said yes!

I was so excited to try out the new Chipotle! It was awesome. I want to go back NOW!

Lean & Mean
I've been working out with Jameson twice a week for a little over a month now. When I worked out with him on Tuesday, he said that I should try his "Lean & Mean" class. I asked him if he thought I could handle it. He said "yeah, it's hard but I think you can do it". I told him I'd think about it. :) Today was the day. Oh. My. God. I thought I was going to have a heart attack, but somehow I got through it. Oh, and did I mention that Jameson said that he was "nice" today?! I have to admit that I was pretty proud that I was able to do it though!
When I got back, I sent him this:
Note to Jameson: If I'm too sore to shop this weekend, you're in BIG trouble! :)

I Won Something!
I've been following Cara's blog since it started. She makes the most incredible & healthy dishes! She just celebrated her "blogiversary" with a giveaway and guess who won?! ME! I could choose between $25 worth of Trader Joe's goodies or this book:

I chose the book because I can always go to Trader Joe's but probably wouldn't have ordered the book on my own (even though I've had it on my Amazon wish list for a long time!). I've heard amazing things about this book, so now I can read it for myself!
Thanks Cara!

Vitamins/Supplements
I recently ordered new vitamins/supplements to try since I had not been very good at taking them with the whole "cancer scare of 2010" and all. I did some research and thanks to Dr. Oz I decided there were a few things I needed to add. I also wanted to try a "whole food" & organic brand of vitamins. I had my vitamin D level tested and came back at a 25. This is deficient according to the Vitamin D Council. I've been taking these supplements for approximately a month and I am feeling great, so plan to continue!
Here is what I'm taking (and no, I'm not a doctor-I just did research on what supplements would be good for me):
Multi Vitamin for Women:
Whole Mega:
Bone Strength (per doctor recommendation):
Glucosamine Sulfate:
Resveratrol:

Cleaning out my closet!
We had a snow day today (on April Fool's Day no less!), so I figured it would be a great day to clean & organize my closet. The last time I did it was 2009, so it was definitely time!
See this post on my old cooking/home blog for the "great closet organization of 2009":
http://ginkasgoodies.blogspot.com/2009/07/closet-organization.html
This is what I started with today:
I can't believe I'm posting this!

Approximately THREE HOURS later, this is the end result:

Wow!
Looks like I can go shopping for more shoes now! I have a whole rack waiting!

Barbie says Hi!

Here is what I'm donating:

FIVE bags!
And 2 bags of trash:

Does your closet get overloaded like mine did?! It feels great to have it organized and actually know what is in it!
