September Birchbox

This is the first month that I've been underwhelmed with my Birchbox. The them was "The September Issue", so I was expecting a good one. Not so much.

Here is what the informational card says:

Color Club Birchbox Custom Polish: We teamed up with Color Club to create this custom shade, inspired by the Fall 2012 collections.

Meh-I may be spoiled by my recent Zoya and Butter London purchases, but to me lime green screams summer-not fall.

Jouer Matte Moisture Tint: This SPF 15 oil-free tinted moisturizer blends in beautifully to even out skin and control shine.

Again, this seems like more of a summer product.

kate spade new york Twirl: A blend of fruity and floral notes, this modern classic feels joyful and carefree.

Again, summer? Fruity & floral notes seem summery to me. In the fall, I lean toward warmer scents.

Sedu Anti-Frizz Polishing Treatment with Pure Argan Oil: Get super shiny, super soft hair with this argan-infused serum, which also protects from heat styling and UV rays. Use on damp or dry strands.

This product was definitely my favorite of the month!

twistband Birchbox Custom Lace Hair Tie: Designers went gaga for lace this season and we don't blame them. Get on board with these ouch-free hair ties.

I do like these hair ties! I've received them in several of my boxes and love them.

Lifestyle Extra
Mighty Leaf Tea Company Tea: Swap your afternoon latte for these yummy tea blends, made from naturally, ethically sourced ingredients.

I do like tea and the vanilla bean one sounds yummy, so this was a nice surprise!

Birchbox Digital Download: Tristan Prettyman is our latest musical crush. Download two of the singer-songwriter's brand new tracks.

Whatever.

I also received a "Fall Lookbook" which is cute and a $25 gift card (off a purchase of $75 or more) for Madewell which I've never heard of. I may check that out.

I've been a Birchbox member for over a year now and this is the first box I was not impressed with, so I think that is a good thing. I mean, over 12 boxes and just one that was ok...not bad! Let's see what October brings!
