This week, I will be packing lunches & snacks for our daughters for school, so we needed to get a bit more than usual. The school is aiming to be peanut-free due to allergies, so I doubled up on sunflower seed butter. I also picked up Applegate Farms deli turkey, sliced cheese, organic yogurts & shelf-stable organic milk, gluten-free bread, and brown rice wraps for them. The girls are not gluten-free, but I am trying to stay away from wheat with them. I found a cool new item: frozen kale! This will be awesome for my green smoothies if I'm out of fresh spinach and/or kale. I also picked up some mesquite smoked almonds and the honey roasted sliced almonds I found after our last trip. :)
This week's plan is:
Green smoothies for breakfasts
Lentil/Quinoa mix for lunches with Asian turkey meatballs (recipe coming soon!)
Slow cooker Chicken Tikka Masala (recipe coming soon!)/Apple Cider Vinegar Marinated & grilled chicken breasts/Salmon for dinners
Snacks: Balls of Energy (double batch so enough to pack for the girls as well), gluten-free pumpkin chip cookies (recipe coming soon)
Have a great week!
