Assessment

At my last fitness assessment, my fitness coach and I decided to try a little experiment. We would meet every two weeks with me doing cardio five times a week and working on my nutrition. If the numbers were headed in the right direction, we would continue the same format. If they stalled, we would work on tweaking something. Basically, reassessing every two weeks. Today was my first two week assessment. I know I've been losing weight, and I'm feeling great so I was really looking forward to it. I went over with all of my information-my food logs, my weight watchers logs, and my fitness logs. We did measurements. Then, we checked my body fat percentage and I was shocked to see that I had lost 2% body fat in just two weeks! Now that is progress for sure! So, the only thing we talked about changing is eliminating my nighttime snack. I tend to be satisfied after dinner-not hungry at all, but after the girls are in bed and I'm watching something on my iPad or reading I tend to "want" a snack. So, basically, I'm going to see how it feels to go without it. We meet again in 2 weeks. I really, really, really like the 2 week assessments so far.

Tony also talked to me a bit about the Dark Side of Fat Loss. That was interesting. I think I'll read it and give it a try. It basically talks about nutrition (REAL FOOD) and how the foods you eat affect your hormones. Knowledge is power, right?!
