Day 2 Post-Surgery Update

Good morning! I'm feeling pretty good...just tired, and breathing is kind of hard (I'm sure it's the anesthesia aftereffects). My eye is good-still no bruising (YES!)-some swelling. All in all, it's looking much better than I had expected.





I still don't seem to have much of an appetite (I'll take it!). I'm still craving fruits & vegetables.

I'm feeling bored-can't really watch tv because I can't see it well-can't wear contacts yet or my glasses due to the incision. I can use my iPad since I hold it close to my face and I can read so I've been doing that. Sleeping is pretty popular right now too :)

All in all, recovery is going well.

I have a couple of funny stories. When Anand & I were walking into the surgery center, we saw a mommy turkey and her babies walking behind her. I told my parents about it. Well, right before they took me into the OR, Dad said he thought I had said there was a "mother from Turkey with her kids following her". I laughed so hard. I asked him how I would know the woman was from Turkey, and he said he couldn't figure it out. LOL!

Apparently the apple doesn't fall far from the tree because I had a good one later that day. We were back at home and I told Anand & my parents that I couldn't believe how good I could see. Then, I realized that I could see so well because I had taken the eye pad off! The reason I "couldn't see" was because my eye was covered! Of course, I had an excuse because of the medication I was on :)
