Days 3 & 4 Post-Surgery Update

Yesterday was day 3 post-surgery. I had stopped taking pain medication the night before as it was making me nauseous and I wasn't really having pain. I was really tired all day, but my breathing was much better. Still no appetite-eating fruits & veggies. I figure that is certainly helping the healing process-maybe I'm finally taking cues and listening to my body? Still some swelling, but no bruising. This was taken the morning of day 3:





This morning was day 4. I've been taking Tylenol every 6 hours or so. Still some swelling, but I think it's gone down some and I did notice a bit of bruising-kind of yellow.





I'm not as tired today. I decided to move around more today since I was feeling better. Anand had to go back to work so I'm on my own with the girls. They were good-watched a couple of movies-"Mirror Mirror" and "Enchanted" while I rested. My mother, Aunt, and Stacy came over in the afternoon and visited. I drove for the first time! Stacy & I went to pick up dinner. I wore my glasses, which is kind of awkward because the nosepiece goes right over my incision. My incision looks really good-it's barely noticeable already! The whole area is numb, though. Still not much of an appetite.

Apparently, if the glass tube falls out I have to have it replaced within 24 hours-I had forgotten about that until my mother mentioned it. I also have to see the doctor twice a year.

Tomorrow morning, the girls' have a doctor's appointment so we will be heading out. I'm definitely ready to get out of the house for a bit. I'll most likely be exhausted after!
